The PIN keeps these sections hidden from anyone who picks up your phone or sees the page, and the data is stored encrypted with it. Even the website's server only ever stores the encrypted version. A 4-digit PIN is a privacy screen, not bank-level security, so keep the PIN between the two of you. It locks itself after 3 minutes, when you go back to Money in & out, or when you leave the page.
